June 7, 2015 Message

It is an honor and a privilege to begin my term as president of the Alaska Federation of Republican Women (AFRW). The May election gave us a more diverse and youthful Board with which to continue our pivotal role in statewide and local elections. Let's talk a little bit about what lies ahead for us as an organization.
Historically, AFRW has been the backbone of Republicanism. We are gearing up for the all-important 2016 elections. This summer into fall, our members will hold a series of meetings to evaluate our resources and develop a strategy for the next decade and beyond. The first meeting will be held on July 11.

This message is not only for our current membership but to all Alaska women who share the Republican principles of Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King and Ronald Reagan; a strong national defense, sound economic policies and personal freedoms. To those who are not yet members, we welcome you to join an outstanding group of capable women by contacting one of our local Republican women’s clubs (links in the navigation bar).

I could not conclude this message without recognizing our outgoing president, Rhonda Boyles, who deserves an enormous thank you from all of us for guiding the Federation, so ably, these past four years. Her skillful leadership, amazing talents and attractive heels will be difficult to fill. Fortunately, Rhonda will continue to serve as an officer in the role of past-president. I am especially grateful that I will be able to rely on her wise counsel.

Yours in Victory and Unity,
